What is a dental hygienist?

A dental hygienist is a dental nurse who has undertook extra training to become a hygienist. Our dental hygienist will show you how to look after your teeth and gums properly showing you how to brush and floss correctly. Regular visits to see our dental hygienist will save your teeth she will prevent and treat gum disease. The hygienist will use a variety of tools to scale and polish your teeth, more in depth than your regular 6 month check up scale and polish. You will have a thorough cleaning removing tartar, stains and plaque from your teeth.
