Not everyone can get to a dental surgery, and that shouldn’t mean going without care. A home visit dentist brings a fully-equipped, portable surgery to your own home in Cardiff, so treatment happens somewhere familiar and at your own pace.

What a home visit in Cardiff can cover

With a portable surgery, a dentist and nurse can usually manage:

Hygiene and scale-and-polish appointments

Anything needing an X-ray, or more involved treatment like root canals or crowns, usually needs a clinic visit — your dentist will explain this plainly and help you plan the next step if it applies.

Care homes across Cardiff

Care homes can book visiting rounds so multiple residents are seen together, with documentation and staff training available to support day-to-day oral health routines. Hospital in-patients can also be seen at the bedside where needed.

Pricing

A home visit starts from £350, including the dentist, nurse and a full consultation. A check-up on its own is £99. You’ll always be given a clear written quote before treatment goes ahead, with no obligation.

Regulation

Every visit is carried out by a GDC-registered dentist and nurse, both DBS-checked, and you’ll receive a written care plan afterwards. As Cardiff is in Wales, day-to-day care standards are overseen separately from the CQC framework used in England — ask your dentist for details of the specific regulatory arrangements in place if you’d like them confirmed in writing.

I've been going to this dentist for almost a year now initially it was just to clean my teeth and do regular check ups and I was really happy with how kind everyone was and the quality of the treatments. After a while I wanted to do teeth whitening but didn't know anything about it or the process. I had a consultation with them and they ran through the treatment, cost and everything I needed to know. After a few weeks of using the gels my teeth were considerably whiter and I was receiving compliments from my family and friends on my smile. After a while they suggested I consider veneers for two pegs on the top of my teeth, they also do a monthly instalment and after a few weeks considering it I decided to do it and was very happy with the results. It looks very natural and matches my teeth perfectly and made me a lot more confident with my smile and was getting compliments from a lot of people shortly after getting it done. I had been in excruciating pain since Thursday! I had been seen by a different dental practice who told me I had a dental abscess and needed antibiotic treatment before anything could be done. However, my pain got unbearably worse over the next 3 days despite taking a concoction of painkillers. Affordable, professional, and quick! I needed my lower wisdom tooth out and had to wait 12 months on the NHS. It kept getting infected, so I sought private treatment. I was nervous about coming as the prices seemed cheaper than other places I had looked. It was a really positive experience. I was asked if I had any questions and told about pricing. The dentist even took my tooth out the same day, which was so convenient as I have limited childcare. The dentist was kind and efficient, and I was emailed detailed aftercare instructions. Was in so much pain for a few days. Tuesday morning at 9 am, called lots of dentists explaining I was in pain, but because I wasn't registered with them, they didn't give me the time of day. Very annoyed and in pain, I came across The Dentist, called them explaining I wasn't registered, but they managed to give me an emergency appointment at 2 pm. When I arrived, the dentist was very helpful and advised me the best course of action. Today, I received a call from one of the staff who work there; she called to check up on me and to see if the situation has improved. Honestly cannot fault this place; the service was very good. Cannot fault this dentist. Rikki and Ana made me feel at ease, explained all of the options, and are super nice people. They helped me cure my gum disease quickly and then continued with pain-free dental implants, which has given me back my confidence.
