What About Sedation?

Many nervous patients come to us asking for sedation, but leave realizing they didn’t need it — just a caring dentist. In most cases, our calming approach and attention to pain management make sedation unnecessary. However, if sedation is still something you need, we can refer you to a trusted clinic. We don’t offer sedation ourselves simply because we rarely find it necessary with our gentle techniques.

I have always avoided visiting dentists due to being nervous from past experiences at other surgeries. Having suffered pain from two teeth for over a week, I finally found the courage and booked an appointment at The Dentist. Very nervous on my first visit, but I was soon put at ease by the friendly and very understanding receptionist. I wish I had found Rikki much earlier—a very caring dentist with a lovely approach to nervous patients who took the time to ensure I was comfortable, gave me various treatment options, and helped me choose the most appropriate for my needs. Over the past year, I have made several visits to have decayed teeth removed and repaired. The treatment was pain-free, something I did not think was possible.
