Regular Dental Check-ups!
Why do I need regular check-ups?
Regular dental exams allow your dentist to identify any dental problems early and help keep your mouth healthy. Leaving problems untreated can make them more difficult to treat in the future. It’s best to catch issues early or even prevent them from occurring.
What will the dentist do during an examination?
The dentist will examine your teeth, gums, and mouth. You will be asked about any issues since your last visit, and advice on your diet, smoking, and alcohol habits may be discussed if needed.
What happens after your visit?
After your check-up, the dentist will advise when your next visit should be—this could be as soon as 3 months or as long as 2 years (1 year if you’re under 18). The lower your risk of dental issues, the longer the interval between visits.
